Where Land Meets Sea

Gill Thompson

Gill lives on the Isle of Lewis and works from her studio overlooking the sea.

Inspired by the interface of the island’s coastal environment and the meeting of land and sea which constantly changes with the tides, weather and the play of light as the days progress and the year turns.

Gill uses collagraph printmaking as her main method of work but also creates monoprint collages, building images that reflect her love of the island colours, textures and moods.
