Jennifer Budd is an award winning fibre artist, whose practice draws on the ancient method of feltmaking to create vibrant landscapes of Scotland, where she was born and of Canada, where she now lives.
Each landscape is wetfelted using wool and silk. Jennifer then embellishes each work with needlefelting, freemotion machine embroidery and hand stitching.
Engaging with such a tactile medium allows Jennifer to connect deeply with her work, forging a connection between the maker and the viewer.
Jennifer has enjoyed sharing her skills as a fibre workshop leader in the Shetland Islands, the Highlands of Scotland and in Ontario.
