Talla na Mara Restaurant offers quality food in a stunning location!

Situated with an unobstructed view of Niseaboist beach and the Sound of Taransay, the restaurant is working with the West Harris Trust to provide high quality dining for the community and for visitors to our beautiful island.

Here at Talla na Mara Restaurant we are doing our best to operate a sustainable, climate conscious environment. In our endeavours to reduce waste, we prepare all our meals to order. Our restaurant is relaxed and runs to a mellow pace. This is what we call ‘Harris Time’. We invite you to come and enjoy the views, unwind and take your time over our delectable food! Please feel free to bring well-behaved dogs!

Opening hours:

From Monday 9th October 2023 our hours will reduce as below.

Mon-Wed – 11am to 3.30pm
Thursday – Closed
Fri-Sat – 11am to 3.30pm

Lunch orders taken from 11.45 until 2.30pm.

From Monday 23rd October 2023 we will move to our winter opening hours of
Tue-Wed 11am to 3.30pm only.

We do not take bookings for lunch unless for a group of 6 or more. Please email for group lunch bookings

We strongly recommend booking for dinner as we cannot guarantee to seat walk in guests.

Please note: we reserve the right to reallocate your table if you are more than 15 minutes late for your reservation.
Opening times may vary due to low season/staffing.

Evening service

Booking in advance is highly recommended as we have limited space in the restaurant. We may request an order in advance for larger groups. We will accept walk ins if we have availability, but this is not always possible.
